The Mission
Sam Gonzalez is a dedicated Pastor and Missionary representing Hockey Ministries International in New England, focusing on establishing chapels for hockey players. With 7 teams and plans to grow, Sam shares the Gospel, motivating communities and individuals alike through impactful sermons and speeches. His experience extends beyond the rink, as he preaches in local churches and speaks at business events. A published author, he is committed to spreading hope and love through various means, aiming to ignite faith within the 'frozen chosen'.

I serve New England with Hockey Ministries International. My goal is to establish chapels with every team in the region and a youth christian hockey camp to train up the next generation both on and off the ice.

When I reflect back on the impact that chapel had on myself and the season I was able to put together, I think it had more of an impact than I even realize. I just think being able to have some of my teammates and Sam talk about how powerful Jesus is in all our lives was a great stress reliever to be honest.

Chapel has helped me learn more about the Bible through our conversational approach, instead of feeling like I’m in a classroom getting lectured. Since attending Chapel I have started reading the New Testament, which has helped me immensely with confidence. I have implemented lessons from our weekly meetings into my daily life that will stick with me forever.

Being able to learn about the Bible with Sam and ask questions or discuss with my teammates has helped me dive into my faith even more. Sam always brings great energy to the meetings and finds unique ways to relate the Bible to our daily lives.
